Exercise is great for your overall health and wellbeing. However, not all types of exercise are right for every individual. Through our Exercise Evaluation, you will learn which types of exercises are right for your specific body and goals. The Exercise Evaluation includes:

  • Resting Metabolic Rate Testing - This test shows how many calories your body burns at rest

  • VO2 Max Study - A measure of how much oxygen you breathe in while exercising as hard as you can.

  • Spirometry - An in-office test to measure how much air you inhale, how much you exhale and how quickly you exhale

  • One visit with our Exercise Physiologist to review results and set goals

PRICE: $200

What to expect from your Exercise Evaluation:

  • Take the guesswork out of the gym – You will receive an exercise plan specific to your health goals

  • You will receive a handout of exercises as well as instructions on number of repetitions/how many times week, how long do you need to exercise, and how to modify exercises if needed or increase intensity once you’ve achieved your first set of goals.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT:

  • Do not exercise the day before or the day of testing for accurate results

  • Do not eat 4 hours before testing

  • Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing and proper shoes

  • Avoid food, tobacco, alcohol, or caffeine at least 3 hours before testing

  • Ok to drink water

  • Take medications as usual
